This Cookie Policy explains how Opinionly LLC ("Company," "we," "us," and "our") uses cookies when you visit our website at https://opinionly.io and https://teams.opinionly.io (together, the "Website"), and how cookies relate to the Opinionly mobile app, to our employer dashboard at dashboard.opinionly.io, and to the pages that open when someone shares an Opinionly link with you.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember visitors, and to provide reporting information to site owners.
The Short Version
- The Opinionly app sets no cookies. Neither do our own servers.
- Our Website sets cookies from two companies. Google Analytics helps us understand how many people visit our pages and how they found us. The Meta Pixel lets Meta measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram, and Meta may also use what it collects for its own advertising under its own terms. All of these cookies are listed in the table below.
- We show no ads on our Website or in the app, and we do not sell your personal information or cookie data. The only advertising-related cookies on our Website are Meta's, and they exist so Meta can measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram.
Cookies on the Website
The Website uses two tools that set cookies: Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, and the Meta Pixel, an ad measurement tool provided by Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. The cookies they set are:

Google Analytics
Google Analytics keeps a record of each visit under a random ID, not your name: the pages you view, how far you scroll, links you click to leave our site, when you start or submit a form, how you arrived, your browser and device type, and your approximate location, such as your city, state, or country. We have not turned on Google signals, Google's feature for advertising across devices. Google processes this data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
Meta Pixel
The Meta Pixel runs on every page of the Website, including our legal pages. It tells Meta which of our pages you visit and the buttons you tap, such as the button to download the iPhone app, and when you submit the Android notify-me or pilot sign-up forms. Meta uses this to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram, and Meta may also use it for its own advertising under its own terms. Meta processes this data as described in Meta's Privacy Policy.
Our Other Pages
Our employer dashboard at dashboard.opinionly.io sets no analytics cookies. When you sign in there, your browser stores your sign-in session so you stay signed in. The pages that open when someone shares an Opinionly link with you set no cookies at all.
Cookies and the Opinionly App
The Opinionly mobile app does not set or use cookies, and our own servers never set a cookie. For the analytics, crash-reporting, and performance tools that run inside the app, see section 5 of our Privacy Policy, "Do We Use Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies?"
One carve-out to be transparent about: if you sign in to the app with your Google account, Google's own sign-in page opens in a secure sheet inside the app. That page is operated by Google and uses Google's cookies under Google's policies. If you sign in with Apple, Apple's own sign-in screen handles it, under Apple's privacy policy.
How Can I Control Cookies?
You can block or delete cookies in your web browser's settings. Every major browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) lets you refuse some or all cookies or delete the ones already stored. The Website works without cookies. Blocking them stops the cookies listed above from recognizing you as a returning visitor. It does not stop Google Analytics or Meta from receiving your page views, and our website host counts page visits and measures page speed without using cookies.
To opt out of Google Analytics across all websites, you can install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. It works in desktop browsers.
If you have a Facebook or Instagram account, Meta offers its own settings for how it uses information it receives from websites like ours. See Meta's Privacy Policy for those choices.
How Often Will You Update This Cookie Policy?
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
